The terrace comes first. It is covered, it runs along most of the façade, and the way in goes through it.
Light gets in from both ends. By ten the rooms hold it without a lamp on.
The apartment runs 10 metres by 5, the terrace 2.5 metres deep. Planting sits between the path and the terrace.
The kitchen is indoors. A fridge, a blender, a coffee maker, and the pans that go with them. The washing machine starts to matter in the second week.
One bedroom, a queen bed. The shower is walk-in and unusually large. There is no jacuzzi here. The pool is a short walk through the garden.
By mid-morning the doors have been open a while and the living room and the terrace stop being separate rooms.
The garden works through its birds in the meantime. The aracari is one of them.
